Sustainability Policy

1. Purpose and Scope 
Dagar’s Sustainability Policy is based on the objective of becoming a leader in sustainable services. Dagar provides services to companies and institutions throughout Iceland and therefore plays an important societal role within the organizations it serves. This policy establishes a comprehensive framework for Dagar’s sustainability efforts and is integrated into all aspects of the company’s operations. Its purpose is to serve as a guide for informed decision-making and taking environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into account.

This policy applies toall employees of Dagar. Dagar has established clear sustainability objectivesand regularly monitors its performance to ensure continuous improvement. Asustainability report is published annually, providing an overview of thecompany’s progress and achievements.

2. Roles and Responsibilities
The Board of Directors is responsible for the Sustainability Policy and for ensuring its implementation. The Executive Management Team is responsible for implementing the policy and ensuring compliance throughout the organization. Managers are responsible for ensuring that the principles of the policy are reflected inday-to-day operations. Employees are expected to work in accordance with the processes, policies, and procedures implemented by the company.

3. Dagar and Sustainability
Dagar approaches sustainability through the principle of double materiality assessment, assessing both how sustainability-related factors affect the company’s operations and how the company’s activities impact those factors.

3.1 Environment

Dagar places strong emphasis on environmental and climate-related issues. The company’s management system is certified according to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard, demonstrating Dagar’s commitment to continuous improvement and measurable environmental performance. In addition, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification reflects the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible cleaning practices. Dagar’s key environmental commitments include:
-         Maintaining ISO 14001 certification and Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification while ensuring continuous improvement.
-         Reducing the carbon footprint of operations through targeted initiatives.
-         Minimizing waste generation and increasing recycling rates.
-         Offering environmentally friendly solutions and sustainable practices that reduce negative environmental impacts for customers.
-         Conducting sustainable procurement and selecting suppliers and service providers that share Dagar’s environmental standards.
-         Providing customers with advice and services that support improved environmental performance and sustainable solutions.
-         Monitoring innovations and technological developments that support the environmental goals of both Dagar and its customers.

3.2 Social

3.3 Governance
Dagar is committed to responsible business practices and adherence to recognized principles of good corporate governance.Key governance commitments include:
-         Supporting a healthy tendering culture and contributing to fair wage practices in major procurement processes.
-         Communicating Dagar’s sustainability priorities to internal and external stakeholders and giving equal consideration to financial, environmental, and social reporting.
-         Taking full responsibility for the company’s role within the value chain and emphasizing responsible supplier selection and procurement practices. Dagar seeks to work with suppliers and partners who share its commitment to sustainability, human rights, and responsible business conduct.
-         Outsourcing core operational systems only to third parties certified under the ISO 27001 Information Security Management Standard. Dagar has also established a Privacy Policy.
-         Maintaining a Code of Conduct that outlines the key principles of ethical and responsible business behavior applicable throughout the company. The Code of Conduct serves as a guide for the actions, behavior, and attitudes of all employees.

4. Transparency
This policy was approved by Dagar’s Executive Management Team in June 2026 and shall be reviewed every two years, or more frequently if required.
